Leadership

The people who built this mission

Tracy Rogers, LMHC, LPC

Tracy Rogers, LMHC, LPC

President and Chief Financial Officer

Tracy is a seasoned healthcare executive with more than two decades of experience in hospital administration and mental health counseling. Throughout her career, she has led with a clear focus on growth, clinical excellence, and patient safety — strengthening patient access, improving outcomes, and building cultures of accountability and collaboration. She's known for uniting physicians, administrators, staff, and stakeholders around shared goals and breaking down barriers to communication.

Tracy's passion for transforming lives is deeply rooted in her dual perspective as both a leader and a therapist. She believes every individual deserves compassionate, effective care that fosters healing and empowerment, and her connection to the first responder community — through family members who have served — adds a personal layer of purpose to her work. As a co-founder of Magnolia Meadows, Tracy has dedicated herself to creating a safe, supportive space where veterans and first responders can recover, rebuild, and thrive.

Beyond her professional life, Tracy enjoys time with her family, cheering on her son at baseball games, and caring for her three French Bulldogs.

Michelle Madden, LPC, CADC II

Michelle Madden, LPC, CADC II

Executive Director, Emdria Certified EMDR Therapist

Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed Mental Health Counselor (TN & FL) | Certified Drug and Alcohol Therapist | EMDR Therapist

Madden brings over a decade of frontline experience in the mental health and addiction recovery field, shaped by both professional dedication and personal transformation. Her journey began in 2014 as a Behavioral Health Technician, and through years of hard work and commitment to her own recovery, she advanced to therapist, Program Director, and now Executive Director of GRIT at Magnolia Meadows.

Madden's passion for helping first responders and veterans is deeply rooted in her own family — her brother is a retired Lieutenant with the Orlando Fire Department, and her nephew currently serves in the U.S. Air Force. She once pursued EMT training herself, but addiction derailed that path — an experience that ultimately deepened her empathy and purpose. Since entering recovery in February 2008, she has remained sober and dedicated her life to supporting others who face similar battles.

Licensed in both Florida and Tennessee, Michelle understands firsthand the courage it takes to ask for help and the strength required to rebuild. Her leadership is marked by a direct, compassionate approach that challenges clients to grow while honoring the reality of their experiences.

“I know the uncertainty you're facing, the grit it takes to keep moving forward, and the relief that comes with recovery. My role is to stay alongside you — focused, consistent, and committed — from start to finish.”

Outside of work, Madden enjoys spending time with her wife and their four dogs — whether traveling, cooking, riding motorcycles, or binge-watching crime shows. Having moved from the fast-paced, congested environment of Central Florida, she's embraced the small-town charm of Waverly, its slower pace, friendly community, and beautiful seasonal changes.

Nancy Kirby, Ed.D.

Nancy Kirby, Ed.D.

Director of Clinical Operations

Dr. Nancy Kirby is a native Tennessean with a lifelong commitment to public service, mental health, and supporting those who serve others. Her professional journey began in law enforcement, where she worked for the Lewisburg Police Department from 1977 to 1984 as a dispatcher, commissioned officer, city magistrate, and court clerk. During this time she also trained and served as an EMS provider, sparking a lasting interest in the psychological wellbeing of first responders and the communities they protect.

That passion led Dr. Kirby to earn her doctorate in Psychology in 1995. For 23 years, she served the State of Tennessee in the Departments of Mental Health and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, specializing in forensic evaluations to determine competency to stand trial. After retirement, she continued this work with Corizon Health, serving as Clinical Director at Riverbend Maximum Security and DeBerry Special Needs prisons from 2012 to 2018.

In the years that followed, Dr. Kirby expanded her expertise into residential treatment centers, focusing on individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. When she learned of Magnolia Meadows' mission, she recognized an opportunity to bring a unique perspective — particularly in serving veterans and first responders navigating trauma and high-stress careers.

Dr. Kirby is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and holds credentials as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Partner Trauma Therapist. Outside of her professional role, she enjoys martial arts, horseback riding, and outdoor activities.

Our Four-Legged Team

Kali & Nash, emotional support dogs

Kali

Kali

Emotional Support German Shepherd

Kali, our 6-year-old German Shepherd (born November 12, 2018), joined the Magnolia Meadows family in May 2024. Weighing in at 112 pounds, she's one of the biggest — and most loved — members of our team.

Kali has a special gift for connecting with clients. She greets everyone with love and playfulness, lays quietly at their feet during difficult moments, and always seems to know when someone needs comfort or a distraction.

Outside of her “work,” Kali is full of energy and personality — she loves barking at deer, turkeys, and armadillos, chasing bumblebees, car rides, trips to Tractor Supply for baths, and even attending conferences with the team. Since becoming part of Magnolia Meadows, she's thrived — no longer needing medications and sleeping soundly through the night.

Nash

Nash

Emotional Support Pup

Nash, our playful “31 flavors” pup (born May 22, 2025), joined the Magnolia Meadows family in August 2025 after being rescued from the local humane society. A true mix with predominantly Labrador traits, Nash brings a little bit of everything — personality, energy, and heart — into one lovable package.

From the moment he arrived, Nash made himself right at home — curling up on the couch, snuggling close to clients, and offering comfort in his own sweet, easygoing way.

Since joining the GRIT family, Nash has helped keep Kali active, eagerly welcomes new clients, and brings a contagious, lighthearted energy to the entire campus.
